GMA Network’s Holy Week programming schedule

Holy Week

GMA Network presents a special programming schedule in observation of the Holy Week this Maundy Thursday (April 1), Good Friday (April 2), and Black Saturday (April 3). 

The docudrama “Jesus: His Life” opens on. Maundy Thursday at 6am with the stories of Mary, Joseph, and John the Baptist.bThis will be followed by back-to-back animated features “Detective Conan” at 7:30am and “The Croods” at 8:30am. 

CBN Asia is set to offer its Holy Week specials at 10:00am. Afterwards, catch the heartwarming family movie “The Stray’” at 11am. 

Lunch and laughter will be served with the back-to-back replay of two episodes of “Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko”  titled “Boggs, The Easter Bunny Mischief” and “Annie, The Runaway Bride Princess” starting at 12pm. 

The Hollywood classic featuring the retelling of the Biblical story of Moses in “The Ten Commandments” airs at 1:30pm.

Witness the life story of Kapuso actor Mikael Daez on GMA News and Public Affairs’ “Tunay Na Buhay”  at 5pm. Come 5:30pm, I-Witness rolls out the documentaries “Gulong ng Pag-asa” and “Isandaan.”

Then, tune in to GMA’s flagship newscast “24 Oras”  at 6:30pm. This will be followed by a marathon of the mini-series “Love on the Balcony,” top billed by Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards and prime actress Jasmine Curtis-Smith, from the first season of the drama anthology “ICan See You” at 7:15pm. 

Cap off the night with the replay of #MPK’s “Ang Kriminal na Binuhay ng Diyos” starring Primetime King Dingdong Dantes at 10:30pm.

Welcome Good Friday (April 2) with the internationally-acclaimed religious program “Power to Unite,” hosted by Ms. Elvira Yap-Go at 6am. Then, “Jesus: His Life” airs at 7am featuring the story of Caiaphas and the story of Judas.

Watch “The Story of Jesus for Children,” a family drama following His life as seen through the eyes of children at 7:30am.

Kids can look forward to adventure and comedy on “Ice Age: Collision Course” at 8:30am. 

Afterwards, don’t miss CBN Asia’s Holy Week specials at 10am. The whole family can tune in next to the inspirational movie “Life with Dog” at 11am. 

Recall Jesus’ seven last words from the Dominican Province via “Siete Palabras”  which starts at 12nn. Then, spend the rest of the afternoon with the action drama film “Gladiator”  at 3pm. 

Meanwhile, “Tunay na Buhay” presents the life story of “Mars Pa More” host Iya Villania at 5pm. This will be followed by the I-Witness documentary of Howie Severino “Ibang Pagtingin” at 5:30pm.

Then, GMA Network’s flagship newscast ‘“24 Oras” airs at 6:30pm. Viewers can rewatch the pilot week of GMA’s newest primetime series ‘“First Yaya” at 7:15pm. 

Catch Bianca Umali as she takes on the role of an inspiring teen-amputee with the replay of #MPK “Sayaw ng Buhay: The Lairca Nicdao Story” at 10:30pm.

On April 3, Black Saturday begins with “Jesus: His Life” stories featuring Pontius Pilate, Peter, and Magdalene at 6am.

 Kids are in for a treat with a lineup of exciting films including “Bartok the Magnificent” at 7:30am;  “Trolls” at 8:30am; “Barbie in a Mermaid Tale” at 10am; and ‘“Red Dog” at 11am. 

Meanwhile, fall in love with back-to-back romance movies “Cara x Jagger” starring Ruru Madrid and Jasmine Curtis-Smith at 12pm and “Because I Love You” with David Licauco and Shaira Diaz at 1:30pm. Then, the epic historical drama movie “Ben-hur” airs at 3pm. 

At 5:30pm, the I-Witness documentary “Nanay” follows.

Viewers can catch “24 Oras Weekend” and “First Yaya” marathon at 6:30pm and 7:15pm, respectively. 

Finally, don’t miss the documentary, “Fiesta: Ang Makulay na Pananampalatayang Pilipino” from Jesuit Communications at 10:30pm.
